The majority of Dan’s experience has been in writing for musical theatre. His professional musical debut, Dubbo Championship Wrestling, premiered at the Hayes and Riverside Theatres in 2022. Through Hayes Creative Development, Dan worked with the Hayes stable of experts under director Sheridan Harbridge to workshop the show. In 2020 he was chosen for mentorship by Eddie Perfect under the Sparrow Mentors program, and released a concept album for DCW featuring David Campbell and Lucy Durack.

In 2023 Dan spent a year in New York studying at the BMI music theatre workshop, which pairs lyricists and composers each week for songwriting assignments. He has been working with Perpetual Entertainment since 2023 to adapt DCW for the screen. Currently looking to expand his playwriting and screenwriting skills- his major work is a horror screenplay. As a writer, his particular interests are: outcasts and weirdos; high stakes stories in a low stakes worlds (eg Little Miss Sunshine); game-based stories (eg The Queens Gambit, Squid Game).
