Home Profile Brooklyn Cate

Brooklyn Cate

Brooklyn Cate is a Sydney-based musical theatre performer who grew up on the Northern Beaches in a home filled with music. Inspired by her father’s love of 1980s pop and rock, she developed an appreciation for performance and storytelling from an early age.

Brooklyn began dancing at just three years old and has embraced every opportunity since to expand her skills across a variety of dance styles. Her passion for performance continued to grow throughout her childhood, laying the foundation for her pursuit of a career in the performing arts.

For more than a decade, Brooklyn performed with the Australian Girls Choir, where she developed a strong love for storytelling through song and movement. More recently, she has taken on a teaching role within the choir, helping young performers discover their own passion for the arts while supporting their artistic growth and confidence.

After years of performing in school productions and musicals at Covenant Christian School, Brooklyn is now undertaking a Diploma of Musical Theatre at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Her training continues to strengthen her skills as a performer and deepen her commitment to the craft.

Brooklyn aspires to build a professional career in the performing arts and create work that inspires others in the same way that music, theatre and storytelling have inspired her throughout her life.
