Blake Roder is an Australian actor of South African and Swiss descent, born in Melbourne and raised in Sydney.
Blake’s introduction to performance was making his mum and sister laugh to prolong his bedtime. After learning you could do that as a career, he participated in school productions, with several leading roles in Musicals and Plays. Blake portrayed a range of dramatic and comedic characters, which led to his acceptance into NIDA at the age of 17.
Alongside singing, Blake plays several instruments including guitar, drums, tenor saxophone and clarinet. He also loves tap dancing, tennis, soccer, padel, travel and Bettany Hughes.
As a 2026 graduate, Blake’s life and work have been abundantly enriched by his time at NIDA, leaving him inspired and eager for the opportunities that await him in the industry.
