Ashton Gibson

At just 19, Ashton has already taken an unconventional path into acting.

Originally from Perth, Western Australia, his love for performance started early – constantly creating characters and performing for family and friends. His first experience on stage came in Year 7 in My Fair Lady, a moment that came at a cost: missing sport training and being dropped from his team. In response, he walked away from acting and pursued his other passion – becoming a professional sportsman.

Nearly five years later, a back injury abruptly ended that dream and forced a reset. In that unexpected pause, acting found its way back into his life – and this time, it stuck.

Now based in Sydney and training at NIDA, Ashton brings discipline, resilience, and a high-performance mindset forged through his childhood experiences. Outside of training, he stays grounded through exercise, time at the beach, and his interest in film and theatre, while drawing inspiration from painting, reading, and writing.

Ashton is focused on building a career in the performing arts, driven to take on bold, diverse roles that challenge him and expand his range.
