Angus grew up on a Sugarcane farm in regional Queensland and believes that their rural upbringing has shaped my unique acting style and outlook as a performer.

From an early age, he was captivated by comedy. He watched classic British series like Fawlty Towers (after getting the box set for my tenth birthday), and Australian favourites like Mother and Son.

He believes these classic programs sparked my love for performing

As a teenager, his love for sketch comedy was discovered through performers like Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Will Ferrell on Saturday Night Live. I became fascinated with the absurd characters they would create and the fast-paced style that sketch comedy demanded.

He is also deeply inspired by observational comedy like Larry David’s “Curb your Enthusiasm” – its dry and socially awkward observational style rings true to my sense of humour.
