Growing up on a sugarcane farm in regional Queensland, Angus found himself drawn to performing from an early age. With plenty of space, a vivid imagination and a slightly offbeat sense of humour, he developed a love of creating characters and finding the funny in the world around him.

He grew up watching classic British series such as Fawlty Towers—after receiving the box set for his tenth birthday—as well as Australian favourites like Mother and Son. These early influences sparked his love of performing and shaped his appreciation for character, humour and everyday observation.

As a teenager, Angus discovered sketch comedy through performers such as Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Martin Short. He became fascinated by the bold characters they created and the commitment and spontaneity the form demanded.

While comedy remains a strong influence, Angus is drawn to a broad range of work across stage and screen, particularly truthful, character-driven performances that balance humour with vulnerability and emotional depth.

Angus hopes to build a diverse career across film, television and theatre, bringing his own experiences and perspective to both comedic and dramatic work.
