Born and raised in the Hunter Valley, on Wonnarua Country, Anaiya took her first drama class at 4 years old and never looked back. She spent hours creating plays with her older sister to present to the family at Christmas and rummaging through her mother’s costume box. Soon enough, Anaiya discovered music as a form of storytelling, learning to play the guitar and piano, she began to write her own songs. Anaiya graduated from the Talent Development Project, where she refined her skills in songwriting and musical theatre, having the opportunity to perform her own music to wider audiences and recording an album with her fellow graduates. 

Anaiya was overjoyed to make the move to Sydney and study the Diploma of Musical Theatre at NIDA, where her performances include appearing in Nine, directed by Dean Drieberg. Here, her love of storytelling has only grown and in the future, she sees herself performing on stage or screen as well as creating her own work.
