Amy Neville (she/her) is a dedicated arts professional currently serving as the Front of House Manager at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. With a background that includes a Cert IV in Music Theatre and a BA in Arts Practice and Management from Macquarie University, Amy leads a team of over 40 casual staff in organizing over 1000 events annually at one of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious music schools.
Passionate about fostering equity and inclusion, Amy actively participates in various university committees and networks, such as the SCM Student Life Committee, USYD Pride Network, and USYD Connect Women’s mentoring program. Complementing her practical experience, she recently completed a qualification in ‘Leadership for Good’ through the University of Sydney’s Leadership Academy.
Amy aspires to become a leader in the tertiary arts education. Her goal is to contribute to the development of curricula that not only emphasizes technical excellence but also champions inclusivity, artistic diversity, and pedagogical methods prioritizing the holistic wellbeing of students. Amy is eager to explore how arts institutions can drive positive change within the wider sector and demonstrate leadership in the rapidly evolving arts landscape.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Amy is actively involved in Sydney’s community theatre scene, having served on many committees in various capacities. She loves musical theatre, Q&A on the ABC, the AFLW, and attending as many cultural events as she can cram into her calendar. Excited to embark her MFA journey, she can’t wait to meet you all!
