Josipa Draisma is a multidisciplinary performing artist and producer whose practice converges music, theatre, cabaret and comedy. Josipa has independently produced, developed and performed in live performance works that have been programmed nationally in performing arts venues and festivals. Josipa’s artistic work is inspired by stories from real life events, community engagement, identity, culture and her familial cultural heritage of Croatia. Josipa holds an MCA (Theatre & Performance), is a trained mezzo soprano and has studied performance techniques in NYC, UK, Sydney and Melbourne. Josipa is an IETM Campus alumni.
Josipa has fifteen years of work experience leading and supporting the delivery of performing arts and screen programming, events and professional development initiatives across the private and public sectors. She has worked with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Disney Channel, ITV Studios and Essential Media. Over the past four years Josipa has worked for Create NSW and Screen NSW and has led and supported the delivery of creative industry events, funding programs and professional development initiatives in NSW and LA.
