About Bianca

Bianca is a writer, dramaturg and librettist. She was raised standing in congregations and sitting through sermons, and now likes to write stories that play with her internal architecture and that of the Christian paradigms that surround us. Both in religious spaces and theatrical stages, she has always been captivated by the performative. In 2020, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Performance Studies at the University of Sydney. Since then, Bianca has written a variety of pieces for stage and screen, and more recently co-wrote and assistant-directed Amadeus for NIDA’s Festival of Emerging Artists in 2023. Her libretto In Cosmic Utero – written for the upcoming opera project Mother – will feature in NIDA’s 2024 October production season. Bianca is passionate about storytelling that stretches out to different corners of Sydney, and amongst other projects now plans to continue writing her original television series, Peter, about a startup commune in Penrith.
