Tessa’s acting training began when she was small - pretending she liked the Barbie Dolls she was given on birthdays was no easy task. Born in New Zealand and raised on a kiwifruit orchard, Tessa was far more interested in fishing, horse riding, bug hunting, hayforts, mudslides, and teaching her chickens how to swim (don’t ask how that went).
Then, when she saw Wicked on the West End, she completed one of the harshest u-turns known to man and began taking Ballet classes. She sucked at first but one thing led to another and before she knew it she was moving to Australia to begin a Diploma of Musical Theatre at WAAPA. Now at NIDA, Tessa is excited to be completing her final year, and can’t wait to see what lies ahead in the big, adult world.
