Hadrian Le Goff

About Hadrian

Hadrian’s practical introduction to acting transpired in the playgrounds of Europe where, confronted with a linguistic barrier, he found himself having to draw deeply upon his French heritage. He still couldn’t speak a word of the language but he got a lot better at mime.

Born in Oxford and raised on the Greek island of Hydra and in Florence, Italy Hadrian eventually ended up in his maternal home of Australia where he attended the Hunter School of Performing Arts. After teenage roles in The Tempest, Macbeth and Loves’ Labours Lost, he cultivated an enduring interest in Shakespeare.

With his paternal home in Greece, Hadrian also became interested in Classical Greek and Roman theatre, participating in filmed performances of new translations of works by Euripides and Plautus at the University of Newcastle.

Hadrian’s time at NIDA has served to hone his passion for the classics whilst furnishing him with the tools needed to meld this passion to the contemporary world.
