Henry Shaw is a Melbourne-based writer/director/singer specialising in opera and dad joke level comedy. Since completing his BFA in Voice at Melbourne University, Henry has performed in operas, musicals and plays for various companies as well as directing and writing productions that have been performed in festivals.
Henry has a love-hate relationship with opera, desperately attempting to avoid it but seemingly always sucked back in. Henry’s long-term goals have completely fallen away in 2020, but futility has never stopped him making theatre before so he’s keeping positive about the upcoming artistic apocalypse. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to Bardcore and fighting back the mounting existential dread.
