About Joel
He/Him – Joel Mallett began his career as a stage manager in amateur theatre before becoming the swing assistant stage manager for The Book of Mormon during their Sydney season. During his time at NIDA, Joel has pushed himself to continue developing his stage management skills as well as becoming passionate about video systems and video designs. Joel has been fortunate enough to do secondments on some of Australia’s biggest shows during his final year, working closely on Hamilton with Richard Martin for five weeks, before moving onto Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to undertake a secondment with the Stage Management team. Upon graduation, Joel is excited to re-join the industry and work across theatre, dance, opera, musical theatre, and live events.
