JoJo is an emerging writer based in Sydney. In 2019, JoJo worked as dramaturg on an adaption of Romeo and Juliet for Outpost Theatre, which toured to regional NSW high schools, and created a short work for 24 Hour Party Playwright with Bondi Feast. In 2018 she was a writer in residence at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, developing new verbatim work Everything Butt and creating an interactive art installation called Homekeeper for the Artstate Regional Arts Festival.
In 2017, JoJo received the Young Regional Artist Scholarship and as part of her scholarship program studied writing and dramaturgy with ATYP, Melbourne Theatre Company and Playwriting Australia. Her verbatim play Too received the Blair Milan Touring Scholarship in 2017, and in 2018 toured to high schools in regional NSW, as well as appearing as a part of Sydney Festival in 2018. She completed a Bachelor of Communication (Theatre/Media) at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst, and wrote The Bachelor Wants You!, a hybrid verbatim/satirical comedy which premiered as a part of the Sprung Festival of Creativity.
