Kate is a theatre and film designer in set and costume. At NIDA she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design for Performance) before continuing on in 2018 with a Masters degree. While studying her BFA she worked on a variety of projects including a 2018 short film Optics which she co-designed and co-directed.
She also worked as the set, costume and video designer on the graduate production Hedda based on Hedda Gabler and directed by Mikala Westall, and was the production designer for the Captives triple J Unearthed music video I AM HORROR directed by Darcy Green.
In 2019, Kate designed the set, costumes and video content for Patrick Marber’s Closer directed by Mark Gaal. She also was the costume designer for Alice in Slasherland at the Old Fitz directed by Rachel Kerry. Kate also worked as the costume designer for a new Australian musical production based on the 1982 film Starstruck directed by Kim Hardwick.
After graduation, Kate will continue to pursue her passion as a set and costume designer for screen and stage.
