About Lucia

Lucia is a Sydney-based emerging lighting designer, production electrician and stage manager. After growing up surrounded by family and friends in the entertainment industry, Lucia completed her Certificate III in Live Production and Services in 2017 and continued this course of study at NIDA.

Lucia enjoyed working in all areas of technical theatre while at NIDA and is grateful for all the opportunities she was given. Lucia found her love for lighting programming at the end of her first year at NIDA during the Directors and Designers Graduating Production Season and has undertaken the role of Head Electrician at every given chance.

She has worked on a variety of productions ranging from musical theatre to Shakespeare to Russian comedy but has found theatre for children and young people to be her passion. Lucia undertook a secondment with Patch Theatre
in early 2020 on their children’s interactive lighting installation entitled The Lighthouse, and was instantly hooked on the unmatchable joyous feeling of seeing young faces amazed by light, sound and performance.

Lucia hopes to pursue her passion in the future and develop theatre and performance for children and young
audiences.
