Kate discovered the world of theatre in high school when she was given the opportunity to act for the first time. After quickly identifying that this was not something she wanted to pursue, Kate turned to the mysterious world of lighting.
At NIDA, Kate continued to develop her passion for lighting. She quickly discovered that being a Lighting Technician was not her cup of tea and that she enjoyed a role where she channelled her creativity: a Lighting Designer. This course allowed Kate to hone and cultivate her creativity, as well as grow her understanding of the arts holistically.
Kate plans to pursue her love of lighting design and is excited to see what the future of her career in this wonderful industry holds.
