NIDA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we learn and tell stories, the Bidjigal people. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We also wish to acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across this country's sacred homelands, and in particular, students and other First Nations members of the NIDA community.

Ethan Shepherd

Ethan started at NIDA in 2015 as one of the first students to complete the Diploma of Live Production and Technical Services, and then enrolled in the BFA (Technical Theatre and Stage Management) course. In 2018, Ethan production stage managed Venus in Fur and travelled down to Melbourne to be a Production Coordinator on the 2018 Victorian State Schools Spectacular. He also had the opportunity to work as a production intern at Sydney Festival 2018, helping with the planning and setup up of Festival Village in Hyde Park and soon after with Sydney Theatre Company on The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui on a production management secondment. After NIDA, Ethan continues pursuing his passion for production management for the live entertainment industry across theatre, musicals and events. His worked as an Assistant Venue Manager for the Sydney Festival 2019 Spiegeltent, along with continuing to work for local Sydney houses such as Belvoir, Griffin Theatre, Roslyn Packer Theatre, Australian Theatre for Young People and Bangarra Dance Theatre.
