NIDA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we learn and tell stories, the Bidjigal people. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We also wish to acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across this country's sacred homelands, and in particular, students and other First Nations members of the NIDA community.

Yerin Ha

Yerin was born and raised in Sydney to South Korean parents. She grew up around a family who loved the arts and found a passion for performing from a very young age.
At 15, she was accepted into the Kaywon Performing Arts High School in Seoul, South Korea, where she trained intensively for three years and learned for herself what it truly means to be an Asian actress.
Upon graduating she got accepted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (Acting), majoring in Musical Theatre at NIDA. Alongside acting, Yerin has a deep passion for dance with over 10 years’ experience in various styles ranging from contemporary and jazz all the way to tap.
Outside of NIDA, her credits include I Walk in Your Words (Australian Theatre for Young People), triple J Unearthed music videos and she was part of the first Australian Diversity Showcase.
Yerin feels passionate about exploring characters and stories of individuals like herself, as well as continuing to challenge the current stereotypical representation of diverse performers on both stage and screen.
