Clare Staunton

Clare Staunton

Clare grew up in Western Sydney along the Parramatta river and gained entry into NIDA straight out of high school where she was high achieving in textiles and art.

Her first taste for designing for screen in 2016 as the Art Department Coordinator/1st AD of NIDAʼs short film Lobster Paradise had her hooked and has since seen her build up an extensive list of credits in 2017 going on to production design for four short films, a music video aired on ABCʼs rage, a web-series to be pitched to the ABCʼs Fresh Blood program and travel to Tasmania to undertake work experience in the art department on Australian Feature Film The Nightingale to be released in cinemas next year.

Clare has also undertaken work experience at Bangarra Dance Theatre and has worked as one of the costume illustrators for Opera Australiaʼs The Merry Widow.
