Georgia Wilkinson-Derums

Georgia grew up in Perth, Western Australia and as the daughter of a photographer mother, Georgia developed a unique relationship with the camera at a tender age. This early engagement with the camera led to an aptitude for performance which was noticed by the television industry whilst she was quite young. She was invited to train at The Actors Management to study drama, where she continued to study until she left Perth in 2012.

At thirteen, Georgia began playing bass for teenage rock n roll band The Flairz who toured nationwide, playing at prominent Australian music festivals and supporting acts such as Ben Kweller, The Stems and The John Butler Trio. Georgia’s decision to pursue acting as a career was cemented after she landed a small role in the Australian film, Wasted on the Young. In 2010 Georgia travelled to London where she completed a short course at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art before returning to begin her training at NIDA. Georgia was awarded NIDA’s 2013 Shakespeare Award for her role in Cymbeline.
