Teacher training
NIDA provides learning opportunities for early childhood, primary and secondary teachers. Whether it’s customised workshops, studying a certificate or taking a short course, there are plenty of options for teachers looking to develop or learn skills.
NIDA offers customised workshops for early childhood, primary and secondary teachers. Our approach to designing customised workshops is collaborative and we work together with educators to determine the outcomes of the course, based on the experience, skills and needs of each group.
Call us on 1300 450 417 or email schools@nida.edu.au to discuss your idea or complete the booking form below.
NIDA also offers short courses for adults through NIDA Open. Teachers can develop or sharpen their skills through a range of courses that cover several disciplines.
NIDA has a long-standing relationship with the NSW Department of Education and has delivered the VET Entertainment course (CUA30420 Certificate III in Live Production and Technical Services) as a teacher training program for the past 12 years.
Entry to this program is by application through your school's RTO or by contacting the vocational training advisor for the Department of Education, Catholic Schools NSW or the Association of Independent Schools of NSW.
Applications are approved by the Application Review Committee (comprised of representatives from all school sectors, as well as subject matter experts) who convene to review each application.
