Jean Mostyn is the founder and CEO of Yellow Creative Management, a boutique literary and HOD management firm based in Sydney. Jean manages the company’s operations and top clients’ careers while leading her team to deliver first class services to the full client list.
Jean represents a stellar roster of Showrunners, Directors and HODs. Current clients include Sam Strauss, Elise McCredie, Sarah Scheller, Anchuli Felicia King, Trent O’Donnell, Angela Betzien, Gracie Otto, Helena Brooks, Alice Babidge, Hannah Reilly, Katie Milwright and Tania Lambert.
Her clients have made work during the past thirteen years including Strife, The Letdown (Sarah Scheller), The Clearing, Stateless (Elise McCredie), Apple Cider Vinegar, The End, Nine Perfect Strangers (Sam Strauss), Colin From Accounts, No Activity, Ghosts (CBS) (Trent O’Donnell), The Sapphires (Wayne Blair), The Sympathizer, The Baby, White Pearl (Anchuli Felicia King) and The Deb (Hannah Reilly).
In 2019 Jean Executive Produced SARAH’S CHANNEL – a webseries made with Screen Australia and Screen NSW in 2019 – as a showcase for Nick Coyle – we were the first ever Australian webseries to have a panel at ComicCon.
Over the next few phase of her career Jean plans to assist key IP creators in building their businesses to retain a greater share of creative control and more financial upside on their projects.
Before launching Yellow, Jean worked at HLA Management for a decade where she worked closely with Tony McNamara on THE GREAT, Justin Kurzel when he was launching his feature career and on the international playwriting projects of Andrew Bovell; while there she also developed many standout HODs including Oscar-nominated Fiona Crombie and BAFTA-nominated Alice Babidge.
