About Kirrily
Kirrily is a screenwriter and playwright. Her work mixes drama with comedy and explores the uncomfortable edges of intimate relationships. With a strong sense of nostalgia and reverence for art, she writes female-led stories, looking at truthful experiences of motherhood, unseen childhoods, and romance.
At NIDA she holds the Edward Federman scholarship. Kirrily’s play Hers received a sold-out showing with Sydney Actors Playhouse and was a finalist in Short + Sweet Festival 2024. Her bedroom farce The Jones Girls featured in Manly Festival of Short Plays.
Kirrily has a background in journalism, published in The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. As an intern for Wild bear Entertainment she wrote in television documentary. She also works as an actor and trains with Impulse Company Australia and Sydney Actors Playhouse.
She is a single mother living in Sydney with her two young daughters.
