NIDA graduates can be found among the amazing cast and crew behind Sydney Theatre Company’s hugely applauded collaboration with the Australian Defence Force, The Long Way Home.
This major new work by writer Daniel Keene uses first-hand accounts to explore the Australian Defence Force’s recent experiences and the impact on the lives and minds of the men and women involved.
One key element that has set this production apart is the inclusion of servicemen and women in the production alongside professional actors, including NIDA graduate Martin Harper. Martin himself has served in both the Regular Army and the Army Reserve since 2000.
The performance also features NIDA alumni Odile Le Clezio and Tahki Saul.
Our graduates were also part of the incredible directing, design and production team that brought the stories of the military personal to life:
Assistant Director: Susannah Dowling
Designer: Renee Mulder
Video Design: Renee Mulder, David Bergman
Stage Manager: Suzanne Large
Assistant Stage Manager: Olivia Benson
Head Electrician/Lighting Operator: Chris Page
FOH Sound Operator: Remy Woods
The Long Way Home is touring nationally, so don’t miss your chance to see our NIDA Alumni in this powerful new work.
