NIDA acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we learn and tell stories, the Bidjigal, Gadigal, Dharawal and Dharug peoples, and we pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present.
Born in Townsville, Harlee spent much of his childhood living on property on Magnetic Island. His days often consisted of running through the bush with his dad's bow and arrow, making up adventure stories for himself. He gained his passion for acting early in life doing youth theatre and poetry recitations. Later during school he acquired a love of Shakespeare and placed first in Duologues at QLD Youth Shakefest.
After finishing high school, Harlee was accepted as a part of TheatreiNQ’s The Bridge Project where he was introduced to all aspects of theatre craft including props, costume and set making as well as performing in their main stage productions and annually in Shakespeare Under The Stars.
NIDA was a childhood dream for Harlee and he is more than ready to seek out the next one.
