NIDA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we learn and tell stories, the Bidjigal people. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We also wish to acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across this country's sacred homelands, and in particular, students and other First Nations members of the NIDA community.

Pollyanna Nowicki

PollyannaPollyanna’s Polish immigrant parents are directly responsible for her resilience and continual persistence in pursuing her dreams. Australian-made, bilingual, brought up in Cabramatta on a diet of Russian
cartoons, Chinese Ballet and Queen. Pollyanna grew into a queer storyteller, even though a communist seemed more probable.

At NIDA, Pollyanna chose the Classical Theatre Elective to indulge her passion for history and her love of heightened text. These three years of rigorous training have helped her become a vocally and physically sustainable actress.
