About Camille
After moving to Australia from France as a teenager, Camille completed a Diploma of Interior Design (Swinburne University of Technology, 2015) and the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design for Performance) at NIDA in 2018.
Continuing onto the Master of Fine Art this year Camille designed the set for Roberto Zucco (Bernard Marie-Koltes), working with international director Robert Schuster, and realised her set and costume designs for Goldilocks, written and directed by Michael Gow.
In 2018 at NIDA, Camille’s major design works included set and costumes for the new, devised live-cinema work DIANA, (dir. Tait De Lorenzo), music video for the song Plastic by Micra (triple J Unearthed collaboration, dir. Samuel Allen), short film Optics by Elliot Vella, and EXPONIDA 2018.
Camille’s design credits also include: Håmlet – A newer Australian Play (by Antoinette Barboutis, dir. Riley Spadaro, 2019), Cinderella (short film, dir. Victoria Thomson, prod. Fatsalmon, AFTRS & SCCI, 2019) and Whose Uterus Is It Anyway? (by Georgina Adamson, dir. Eve Beck, BITE Productions, 2018). Camille worked in Paris as design assistant to scenographer Olivier Brichet on the contemporary music/theatre piece Replicas composed by Fernando Munizaga, and took part in the contemporary theatre festival Lynceus, in Brittany, France.
Always seeking to learn new practices, methods and crafts to enrich her design process, Camille’s most driving passion resides in scenography for contemporary and unconventional theatre and live performance. Camille is looking forward to many more exciting collaborations, and to creating unique and hybrid work across many mediums and at the intersection of art forms such as live performance, music and film.
