NIDA launches 2021 Industry Survey

NIDA 2021 Industry Survey

The COVID-19 pandemic has tested the performing arts and creative industry’s resilience, problem solving and improvisation skills, while also enabling invention, especially across digital platforms.

In response, NIDA is thinking about vital positive futures for the industry and is currently evolving its curriculum to ensure that we maintain the world-class and excellent training that enables individuals to thrive.

The NIDA 2021 Industry Survey has been created to gather valuable insights that will help us shape the future of NIDA courses. Individuals and organisations from across the industry, regardless of role, genre, experience level or platform, are invited to share their input.

NIDA’s training has played a critical role in the development of the cultural and creative industries over the last 60 years. NIDA alumni have been and continue to be leaders and co-designers at the cutting edge of creative practice and co-creators of new performance industries in the digital economy.

‘In a highly dynamic and disrupted technology-enabled environment, it is critical we evolve our training to enable emerging and existing creative practitioners and businesses to thrive,’ said NIDA CEO Liz Hughes.

‘Our aim is to give talented individuals the best possible opportunity to excel in their performance specialisation, to nurture their innate entrepreneurialism, and to set them up with networks and pathways for long and successful careers in the cultural and creative industries.’

‘This survey will provide us with essential mapping information, to ensure that NIDA stays at the front of the education industry in the performing arts,’ said NIDA CEO Liz Hughes.

The survey, which takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete, will close on Friday 3 September at 11.59pm.

Survey participants can choose to go into a draw to win a $1,000 voucher for a NIDA Open or Corporate short course. The voucher is fully transferable, so can be shared with a colleague or family member.
