Kasia Vickery

KasiaKasia is an emerging writer and comedian from Sydney. She attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts before completing her Bachelor of Arts (Major in English) at the University of Sydney in 2017. She co-wrote and performed in USYD and UNSW Wom*ns revue (2017) where she discovered her love for sketch and stand-up comedy. She then went on to perform encore shows in the Sydney Comedy Festival in 2018 and 2019.
While at NIDA, Kasia was a participant at Australian Theatre for Young People’s (ATYP) National Studio at Bundanon Trust (2019), co-wrote and performed in Heavy Lifting at Bondi Feast Festival (2019) and The Day That Changed Potato Bay at Sydney Fringe Festival (2019).
Kasia was dramaturg on Miracle City as part of the Festival for Emerging Artists at NIDA in 2019 and an extract of her MFA Writers showcase comedy play Play On (about a young wom*n's Roller derby team) was performed as part of Playlist Festival for Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in early 2020.
