Benjamin Greaves is a violinist and Co-Director of Collusion Music and Dance Ensemble, a boutique organisation that performs locally and internationally. In 2018 the ensemble performed their signature chamber ballet Desirelines to 2000 people in Guangzhou, China. In September 2018, Turbine for violinist and three dancers, gave its international premiere at the Shanghai Dance Festival, China.
Benjamin has enjoyed a successful portfolio career as a chamber, orchestral, solo, recording musician, pedagog and producer. As violinist he has appeared with Queensland Symphony, Camerata, Queensland Ballet, Circa, Opera Queensland and at the Adelaide Cabaret, Brisbane, Queensland Music, Sydney, Crossbows, Restrung, Australian Chamber Music, Soul Food, X, Tyalgum and Bangalow Festivals. He has recital broadcasts for ABC Classics.
Benjamin has in-depth experience curating adaptive musicians and artists for independent to large-scale events and performances. He also lends in-depth guidance and value to productions where an intersection between music, theatre and dance occurs. He is also interested in events where instrumental music practice plays an integral role in creating community.
