Xanthe Paige

Xanthe grew up in the small Northern Rivers town of Murwillumbah. At age 6, she began taking speech and drama lessons, pursuing this training throughout her school years. Xanthe gained her AMEB Certificate of Drama and Performance in 2009, and her Trinity College Associate Diploma in Performing in 2010. These studies also fostered a lasting love for poetry, an interest she has pursued alongside acting.

Completing her HSC in 2010, Xanthe received the Premier’s Award for All-Round Excellence and was placed on the HSC Distinguished Achievers List. While academia may have seemed a safe bet, Xanthe had no desire to race into university life. Instead, she moved to Brisbane where she tackled full-time work and gained experience on screen. Xanthe played the lead role of Pegi in Griffith Film School short Be On My Side, and lead role Alexa in the independent short film Schrödinger’s House, as well as starring in a film clip for Brisbane-based musician Jeremy Neale. Xanthe was also a 2011 national finalist for drama in acting competition Storm the Stage.

At the end of her gap year, Xanthe successfully auditioned for NIDA and made the move to Sydney.
