Raised on the New South Wales Central Coast, Jessica, the youngest of seven, grew up entertaining her older siblings. This recreation ignited an infatuation with performance, and she has immersed herself in music, dance and theatre ever since. The half-Dutch daughter of a sound engineer and sister to an actress/stunt woman, Jessica's family has always been the biggest source of support and inspiration for her life in the arts.
Jessica was a regular lead in Gosford Musical Society shows when she was younger and her highlight was playing Maria in West Side Story at the age of fifteen. In 2009, she received the Youth In Performing Arts Financial Scholarship, which helped her to complete a Certificate IV in Music Theatre at the Actors College of Theatre and Television in 2011, straight after graduating high school.
Since being selected for the 2012 intake of the NIDA Acting course (Music Theatre stream) she has had the privilege to work with directors including Imara Savage, Wayne Harrison and Roger Hodgeman. Jessica was also nominated for best actor in the Manhattan Short Film Festival in 2013 for her leading role as Chelsea in #30.
