Jack Ellis


Jack was born in Mount Gambier, SA in 1987. He possessed a keen interest in the arts as a child and went on to perform in and co-create high school productions and short films. Completing year 12 Drama as a 15 year old, he was able to fine hone his skills as a young, developing actor.

Moving to Adelaide in 2006, Jack studied Psychology and Drama at Flinders University before changing degrees eventually completing a Bachelor of Education/Arts. Hired by Austereo in 2009, he began co-hosting an afternoon radio show on Australia's digital comedy station, ‘Barry’. He starred in two community television series, By the Sea and Hotel De Barton. He was also cast as the lead actor in an independent feature film, Bianca. Jack was accepted into NIDA's Acting course in 2012.

Jack has featured in music videos as well as various online sketches. He has worked as an actor, artist, festival promoter, talk show host, high school and primary school teacher, drama coordinator, visual arts teacher and Italian teacher.
