WORKING FOR NIDA OPEN
NIDA Open runs a year round programme of educational activities, delivering a cross section of dramatic arts training to children, young people, adults, pre-professionals and established artists. Tutors at NIDA Open are industry professionals who – in collaboration with our course management team – teach classes within their areas of expertise and interest.

Please note: teaching opportunities at NIDA Open are subject to enrolment figures and we are therefore not in the position to offer guaranteed work.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
At NIDA Open, we seek out practitioners who are passionate about their craft and demonstrate a committed approach to teaching. We are currently seeking teaching artists to work across our young people ages 12-18, adult short course and pre-professional Studio programs.

* CV (indicating any professional or teaching experience) with contact details of two work related referees
* 150-200 word professional biography (please enter this into the ‘selection criteria’)
We strongly recommend you familiarise yourself with the NIDA Open program prior to submitting your application.

INTERVIEWS
We conduct interviews with potential tutors twice a year.


The next round of interviews for Sydney teaching artists will be held in November 2017. Application closing and interview date will be posted in October 2017. Only successful applicants will be contacted.


From time to time casual tutors are appointed on an as-needs basis and in that instance we may be in contact if an opportunity arises which matches your skillset.


You must hold a valid Working With Children Check in your state of residence or be able to obtain one, and be willing to support and implement NIDA’s Child Safe Strategies to undertake child related employment.
