Susan Kibukamusoke (Director, People and Culture)

Susan Susan is a passionate advocate of shaping workplaces that celebrate diversity of thought and practice, culminating in innovative, positive, and high-performance cultures.

Susan has over 20 years’ experience delivering people-centred initiatives in learning and development, organisational change, inclusion and diversity, and human resources. Starting her career in London, Susan has experience in a variety of business fields including, global communications, the arts, state and federal government.

Most recently, Susan worked at the National Indigenous Australians Agency as part of the HR leadership team establishing the HR function in the newly established Agency. This included driving key projects in recruitment, performance management, inclusion and diversity. Prior to this, at the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, Susan was instrumental in number of inclusion and diversity projects culminating in the implementation of an organisation-wide cultural change program, a first for the department. During her tenure at Sydney Opera House, Susan implemented leadership and employee experience programs resulting in the shift to culturally inclusive and high performing work environments.

She is a member of the Australian HR Institute (AHRI), holds a Master of Culture, Health and Medicine (Advanced) and a Bachelor of Arts (French and Politics) both from the Australian National University.

Susan will lead the People and Culture team whose key areas of responsibility include: building organisational development to ensure a capable, agile and engaged workforce at a time of rapid change; driving and embedding diversity and inclusion plans; and ensuring a positive respectful culture across the entire organisation (staff and students).
