Work experience

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in our 2020 Work Experience Program.

Sadly, due to COVID-19, it will not be possible for us to run work experience this year. We are sorry to miss out on what would surely be a group of brilliant students coming to NIDA to experience our courses firsthand, but your safety is always our first priority and we believe this is right decision under the circumstances.

We hope that we will be able to run Work Experience in 2021, and we would encourage Year 10 students who missed out in 2020 to keep an eye on this page for updates, as Work Experience is open to those in Year 10 and Year 11.

NIDA offers courses in a wide variety of professions that are involved in the theatre, film and TV.

Our work experience program offers interested year 10 and 11 students the chance to spend a week with us at NIDA to observe and, where possible, participate in classes.

Our programs will not only give you a taste of what it’s like to study at NIDA but also an opportunity to see what skills and tasks the career you are thinking about involves.

Please note that all work experience is held at NIDA, Kensington in Sydney.

NIDA will not be holding Acting work experience in 2020.
