NIDA is Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art, a centre of excellence in education and training for careers in theatre, film, television and other performance media. Our NIDA Open division runs a year-round program of short course dramatic arts training for children, young people, adults, pre-professionals and established artists.

The NIDA Open team are seeking a talented business professional with a passion for managing projects and solving problems in a complex and busy environment.

The Business Manager ensures NIDA Open’s Sydney operations team is well managed and that programs are commercially viable and delivered efficiently. A proactive, collaborative and supportive team management style is essential to the success of this role.

In consultation with the NIDA Open management team, the Business Manager oversees operational delivery of NIDA Open activity, which includes a significant program of short courses to more than 15,000 students around Australia each year. The Business Manager also ensures commercial viability of programs by monitoring expenditure and analysing sales activity to maximise profitability.

The position works closely with the Head of NIDA Open to deliver administration and operations training to NIDA Open staff across Sydney and Melbourne to ensure that directives on Work, Health and Safety, copyright law, privacy requirements, Working With Children and consumer law are upheld across the team.

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday with some out of hours work required compensable with time in lieu. Rostered weekend work will be required for up to 12 weekend days per year which will also be compensable in Time in Lieu.

Salary (TRP)
$85,669.47 inclusive of 9.5% superannuation
