NIDA Creative Forum: Rolling in their Graves
Date: Thursday 20 June | 6.30pm
The Forum takes Roland Barthes’ theory that “the author is dead” and questions where the boundaries lie, and can be pushed, when adapting an author’s work.
Facilitated by NIDA’s Head of Writing for Performance, Stephen Sewell, the panel will discuss the challenges and responsibilities of the director when working with text. With a career spanning 30 years in writing and directing, Stephen will bring a wealth of experience in screen and theatre adaptations to the panel – one of his best-known works is the AFI award winning screen adaptation of The Boys.
