2. Apply

Applications for entry into NIDA’s full-time courses in 2013 are closed. Applications for entry in 2014 will open on 1 July 2013.

3. Prepare for your audition or interview

All applicants are offered an audition or interview. Once your application has been received, you will be sent your audition/interview time and venue details. Below is the audition and interview preparation information for each course that was used in 2012. Please be aware that this information may change for people applying in 2013 for entry in 2014:

4. Audition & Interview Dates

Auditions and Interviews are held in most Australian capital cities during November and December. The dates for each city for 2013 will be available from 1 July 2013.

Selection of Students

Students are selected on the basis of talent and their potential to benefit from the NIDA training and to contribute to the arts entertainment industry. There are no quotas based on state of origin, gender or ethnicity.

Applications from indigenous and ethnic Australians are actively encouraged.

Students come from diverse backgrounds, with varying levels of experience in theatre, film, television or other arts areas, including fashion, architecture or physical, vocal or visual arts expression.
