Tobhiyah Stone Feller (Lecturer Design)
Tobhiyah is a Sydney-based specialist in set and costume design for drama and dance. Tobhiyah’s focus on movement and the performative aspects of human environments – public, theatrical and domestic – gives her body of work an elegant rigour that’s expressive, innovative and inclusive.
Tobhiyah has worked at schools and educational institutes including; UTS, NIDA, Tantrum Youth Arts, Wenona School, Pymble Ladies’ College, Erudio Education, AIM Australian Insitute of Music, NSW HSC State Drama Camp, and ATYP Australian Theatre for Young People. Tobhiyah harnesses her professional experience working as a designer for performing arts, architecture, installation and interiors to guide and challenge her students.
From 2014 to 2018 Tobhiyah was the Co-Founder and Director of interdisciplinary design studio, Stukel Stone, in which she was instrumental in delivering cultural, residential and commercial projects including; award winning sets, installations, interiors and architecture. Stukel Stone’s multi-purpose set design for Ensemble’s repertory productions My Zinc Bed and Blood Bank won the Installation category of the 2016 Australian Interior Design Awards. In 2018 Tobhiyah delivered an exceptional project 'Flowstate', an open-air performance venue that blurs the distinctions between landscape and the built environment, theatre and public life for South Bank Corporation, Brisbane. Her passion for interdisciplinary collaboration positioned her well to lead, in partnership with Architect Daniel Beasly, a team of consultants including; Landscape Architect, Structural Engineer, Lighting and Technical Theatre Specialists to deliver the dynamic, sustainable cultural space.
Committed to design as integral to story telling, Tobhiyah approaches each production with an abstract, evocative and transformative eye. Exceptional Directors and Choreographers she has collaborated with include; Priscilla Jackman, Anthony Skuse, Fraser Corfield, Kate Gaul, Amy Hardingham, Paul Viles, Sally Blackwood, Anca Frankenhaeuser, Mark Kilmurry, Fraser Corfield, Nadia Tass, Helmut Bakaitis, George Ogilvie,Tanya Goldberg, Annalouise Paul, Sue Healey and Iain Sinclair.

As Co-chair for Emerging Designers APDG, Australian Production Designers Guild, Tobhiyah endeavours to improve career pathways for graduate stage and screen designers. In this role she co-wrote and co-ordinates the MENTORAPDG program.
