The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is Australia's leading centre for education in the performing arts and ranked in the top 10 drama schools in the world.

With world-class education and facilities, it is highly regarded in Australia and internationally for producing and inspiring generations of practitioners in acting, costume, design, directing, live production, make-up, musical theatre, properties, scenic construction, stage management, voice and writing.

Working collaboratively with the CEO, staff and students, the Artistic Director will:

  • Be NIDA’s public artistic voice, promoting a cohesive overview of the creative goals, education and activities
  • Ensure the annual repertoire of student productions reflect the diversity of voices and cultural and lived experiences of present and future Australian society
  • Drive innovation, experimentation and future-focused performance practices across a range of mediums
  • Foster deep industry engagement.
