YOUNG PRESENTERS STUDIOFor 16-20 years selected by audition.
Work with specialist NIDA tutors and industry guests to develop your personal style and confidence as a presenter for a live audience, radio, television and other media. This is a part-time course which will introduce you to the full range of live and recorded presentation roles, and start you on the path to developing the skills you need to succeed in this competitive field. Each term concludes with a practical presentation of your work.
Term 1: THE LIVE PRESENTER
physical presence, vocal communication, improvisation and storytelling, audience contact
Term 2: THE SCREEN RADIO & MEDIA PRESENTER
the voice, communicating with a radio audience, narration and voice-overs, on-screen presence, recording stories on location
Term 3: THE TELEVISION PRESENTER
lifestyle shows, game shows, children's shows, news and weather, current affairs, magazine and chat shows
Term 4: THE Showreel

FEES
The total course cost for 2009 is $3975 including GST payable over 5 instalments of $795.
Fees must be paid in advance with a commitment to continue the course for the duration of the year. There is no refund of fees once the term commences.
APPLICATIONS
Applications for 2009 are now open. Entry is by audition.
You do not need to prepare anything for the audition, which will involve improvised exercises to camera. Please wear comfortable clothing to the audition. All applicants will be given an audition. The decision of the panel is final.
