TEACHING DRAMAFor 18 years + selected by interview.
This is a half-year course for teachers who want to consolidate their own approach to teaching drama in practical classes for a variety of age groups and contexts. Work with specialists in teaching drama to consider safe and creative methods of teaching, coaching and directing young people and adults.
Develop approaches to teaching improvisation, acting, characterisation, physical and vocal communication, scene work and interpreting text, performance for theatre and for screen. Practise ways to prepare and structure lessons and to develop longer-term programming. Consider strategies for managing groups in classroom and rehearsal and theatre contexts.

Term 1: 19 February to 9 April 2009 Term 2: 30 April to 25 June 2009
Thursdays 6.30pm - 9.30pm
FEES
The total course cost for 2009 is $1,200 including GST, payable over 3 instalments of $400.
Fees must be paid in advance with a commitment to continue the course for the duration. There is no refund of fees once the term commences.

Entry is by interview only. Interviews will be held on 8 February 2009 at 11.00am.
