Harold Pinter's The Caretaker

Aston brings Davies, a pathetic old tramp with mysterious identity papers, into his derelict household. Aston's hopes are tied to his flash brother Mick who has aspirations to live in a luxurious apartment. Human nature, however, is a great spoiler of plans... Nobel Prize winning playwright Harold Pinter is the British master of sub-text, but dissects his characters to reveal more sinister layers than Chekhov ever exposed.
