NIDA Open Program congratulates The Actor 2007 graduate Brynn Loosemore who has recently secured a supporting role in Steven Spielberg's new mini-series shooting in Queensland The Pacific. Brynn made an impressive Macbeth in last year's The Actor end of year play production.
This course introduces you to the essentials of acting: improvisation, voice, movement, acting, stage and screen presence, openness and the ability to convey character development, sub-text and relationships in scene work. You will gain experience in communicating to an audience in a theatre venue. Each term concludes with a practical presentation of your work.
TERM 1: Acting skills, voice, movement, improvisation, characterisation
TERM 2: Scene work from contemporary and classic texts
TERM 3: Devising a performance
TERM 4: Performance project

FEES
The total course cost for 2008 is $3975 including GST. These fees are payable over 5 instalments of $775.
Fees must be paid in advance. There is no refund of fees once the term commences.
APPLICATIONS
Entry to The Actor is by audition only. All applicants are given an audition. Applications are due by 28 November 2007.
