Musical Directors: Nigel Ubrihien & Tim Patston

Charity Hope Valentine is a young dance hall hostess with not much more than her shoulder bag and a heart tattooed on her arm.

Charity believes that ‘without love, life has no purpose’. But how does such a person survive in a world that is cynical and opportunistic? Despite the odds being stacked against her, Charity is unique because she believes in love – and that’s why we need her!

SWEET CHARITY is a hugely popular Broadway Classic, featuring hits such as The Rhythm of Life, If My Friends Could See Me Now, and Big Spender

Directed by NIDA’s Head of Acting, Tony Knight (Guys and Dolls, Assassins, The Pajama Game), choreographed by John O’Connell (Moulin Rouge, Shall We Dance, Strictly Ballroom, Keating the Musical), and featuring a 17-piece live orchestra, SWEET CHARITY is joyful entertainment at its most uplifting best.
