A world where sex is less akin to love than to shopping - where life is merely a series of transactions, and everything and everyone, just another commodity.
Robbie, Lulu and Mark live together in a grungy London bed-sit. Robbie and Lulu used to be lovers, but Robbie is now in love with Mark, who leaves to have a sexual transaction with rent-boy Gary.
A play about a generation of no-hopers, whose paltry existence revolves around buying and selling sex and drugs, Shopping and F***ing questions where truth exists in societies obsessed with celebrity, spin, interest rates and whichever princess is available for the cover of the latest gossip magazine.
Shopping and F***ing premiered in London in 1996 and has since experienced international success.
NIDA Graduating production.
Please note this production contains high level material, themes, and language of an explicit nature and is not suitable for persons under the age of 18 years.
