NIDA DEVISED 2008 Gain inspiration for your own student devised performances by seeing the different approaches taken by professional actors in this performance of a collection of short devised pieces on 14, 15 & 16 May 2008. A variety of theatrical approaches to devising will be demonstrated across the pieces, including physical theatre, comedy, text and theatrical concepts such as Absurdist and epic theatre.
The performance lasts for approximately one hour and is followed by a discussion about the devising process with the cast and a demonstration involving some students from the audience in a variety of different approaches. The devised pieces will be developed with HSC Drama Group Performance parameters in mind. All the pieces will use the one topic or title as a spring-board. The visit includes a tour of NIDA. For Drama students Years 7 to 12. Booking forms can be obtained through j.cowell@nida.edu.au or you can book online below.
