The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is one of Australia’s leading higher education providers for the performing arts. Within the NIDA complex, the Parade Theatres offers five commercial theatres and venue spaces for hire. Our commercial clients range from local schools to high profile International productions and everything in between.
We are seeking talented, adaptable and energetic people to join our front of house team. The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for the successful delivery of the front of house requirements for multiple productions and events, including managing the casual front of house team on duty. The Bar Supervisor is responsible for managing all bar operations and bar staff when the bar is open during productions and events.
The successful applicant will have a passion for customer service and excellent communication skills. They will need to have a calm and friendly temperament, and a willingness to work through any issues to deliver a great client experience. In addition to this, they will need to have the time management, organisational and supervisory skills to effectively co‐ordinate and manage a team of casual front of house employees.
Your career to date may include front of house experience within a large scale commercial or conference centre and/or arts organisation. Previous experience in bar supervision will also be highly regarded.
You will be rostered on a casual basis as either the Front of House Supervisor or the Bar Supervisor and you should be available to work weekends. Additional shifts may be rostered as a Front of House Attendant (Usher/Bar Attendant/Stage Door Attendant). A current RSA certificate is also required.
